Chelsea & Keegan McCarthy

Chelsea and Keegan McCarthyKeegan hails from Juneau, Alaska where he grew up exploring the southeast. His passion for the outdoors led him to commercial fishing and being a registered guide. As a registered Alaskan guide, Keegan understands Alaskan geography and has an intimate knowledge of its cultures, wildlife, and plants.
 
Chelsea hails from the wilds of Colorado. She attended the University of Alaska, Southeast where she fell in love with Alaska and met her husband, Keegan. She is a speech therapist and has spent the last 7 years working throughout Alaska, providing much needed speech therapy services.  She has also worked closely with her husband to manage his guiding businesses.
 
We are thrilled with the opportunity to share our passion for Alaska with you and are honored you have chosen us with whom to take this grand adventure.

The crew worked well together. You could immediately tell the role/functions that they were in charge of which was important to having the trip run smoothly. The crew was engaging with us (and the two other couples from New Zealand). We have a 13-year old daughter - they were exceptional with her. I want to emphasise this: my daughter cried several times at the end of the trip because she didn't want to leave. We actually felt that too. the crew was part of making this the best family trip that we have ever taken.

My wife had suffered a broken foot a few weeks ago so was unable to go on the hikes but the crew made sure she could join in as much as possible and laid on alternative trips as appropriate.
